Land Trust
The Toms River Workforce Housing Community Land Trust exists to provide opportunities for very
low, low, and moderate-income workers and other disadvantaged households to secure and maintain decent,
affordable housing. The Trust will insure that this housing will be permanently preserved and will be
available for future low to moderate-income residents of the community. The Trust pledges to protect the
natural environment of the properties it owns and leases, and to promote the ecologically sound use of
natural resources and the long-term health and safety of the community.
The Land Trust is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of
Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The membership of the corporation has been initially
limited to the
Founding Trustees
and their delegates. Additional members will be enrolled and officers of the corporation will be elected
in accordance with the corporation’s by laws at the Land Trust’s
annual meeting.
